Jessica Simpson’s Fur Cape Outfit – Hot or Not?

Jessica Simpson was spotted out and about in New York City yesterday morning. The 30-year-old singer-slash-designer braved the chilly east coast temperatures in this taupe fur-trimmed cape, grey suede knee high boots and a Prada leopard print bag:

Jessica Simpson has recently come under a lot of fire on the internet for wearing this outfit. It’s not really so much that she’s wearing fur, suede and leopard print, but rather because of what the article that accompanied these pictures said about Jessica Simpson’s Thanksgiving activities:

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Jessica performed in the Macy’s Parade then whipped up a meal for Eric [Johnson], her parents, and her future in-laws in a hotel suite!

“She cooked mostly traditional food with some vegan dishes for Eric and his family,” a source told People.

So after reporting that Jessica cooked vegan dishes on Thanksgiving, they go ahead and juxtapose pictures of her wearing a fur cape with the story. Don’t you find that a little unfair? Okay, the outfit isn’t Jessica Simpson’s best, but their way of reporting the story leads people nowhere else but to question Jessica Simpson’s real vegan intentions.

Anyway, on the positive side of things, I like the dark blue denim jeans that’s peeping out from under all that taupe and gray of Jessica Simpson’s outfit. I wonder if it’s a pair of jeans from her newly released Jessica Simpson Jeanswear collection? It’s difficult to tell with just these pictures, but Jessica Simpson does have a couple of jeggings in dark washes in her new denim line that would be perfect for tucking into knee high boots like hers.
