Style Watch: The Ripped Denims Strike Again!

It’s only been a little over a month since I wrote a post on the distressed skinny jeans, featuring famed Hollywood women such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Kim Kardashian and Anne Hathaway favoring the rugged style over the clean and polished look. Today, I come across photos of two more celebs jumping into the bandwagon — and I thought the trend was nil!

First stop, Nicky Hilton. The rich heiress was spotted in West Hollywood, California earlier this month sporting a pair of thrashed black Jet skinny jeans. She paired it with a heather muscle tee and black ballet flats. The rocker look, that’s what it is (though a tamer version).

She must love the thrashed black jeans by Jet! On February last year, she was also photographed in exactly the same pair (or do you think she has several pairs of the same jeans?). It leaves me wondering what really is so special about the Jet jeans that keep celebs wearing it over and over again.

Second on the run is Ashley Tisdale. Paps snapped up some pics of her and rumored boyfriend Martin Johnson on the streets of Studio City, California last January 8. This time it was the Dylan George Lucy jeans in Czar wash, known to be her personal favorite.

This photo below was taken last December of 2009! Ashley Tisdale is loyal to her Dylan George Lucy jeans! How long do these holed denims last, anyway? I was right when I first thought the rips would get wider after every wash. Observe how 2 years of use did to Tisdale’s.
